Examination Cheating
If there is cheating found to occur on the examinations of a semester, the university will implement the following process.
1. The first wrongdoing
1.1 Students who are in the regular enrollment system will receive an “F” grade or a “U” grade for all courses they are enrolled in during that semester. The students are not allowed to withdraw (W) from any courses. The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs. The cheating history of the students will be recorded.
1.2 Students who are in the block course system will receive an “F” grade or a “U” grade for all courses in the block of that semester. Students are not allowed to withdraw (W) from any courses. The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs. The cheating history of the students will be recorded.
2. The second wrongdoing
2.1 Students who are in the regular enrollment system will receive an “F” grade or a “U” grade for all courses they are enrolled in during that semester. In addition, the students will be ordered to have an intermission leave for at least one semester, starting the following semester. The summer semester is not included. The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs. The cheating history of the students will be recorded.
2.2 Students who are in the block course system will receive an “F” grade or a “U” grade for all courses in the block of that semester. In addition, the students will be ordered to have an intermission leave for at least one semester, starting the following semester. The summer semester is not included. The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs. The cheating history of the students will be recorded. 3. The third wrongdoing
3.2 Students will be expelled from the university resulting in their academic dismissal.The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs.The cheating history of the students will be recorded.
4. For the implicated cheating behaviors of students in both enrollment systems: the regular enrollment system and the block course system.
4.1 For the first wrongdoing, students will receive an “F” grade or a “U” grade for the course in which they offended the examination regulations that semester.The students are not allowed to withdraw (W) from any courses. The university will inform the students, the students’ parents, the course instructor(s), their adviser and student discipline affairs. The cheating history of the students will be recorded.
Remark:
4.2 For the second wrongdoing, please follow the punishment in item 1 above.
4.3 For the third wrongdoing, please follow the punishment in item 2 above.
4.4 For the second wrongdoing, please follow the punishment in item 3 above.
5. For any other wrong doing stated in the examination rules and regulations for students in the regular enrollment system and the block course system, the authorities shall consider the appropriate punishment for the wrongdoing. Nevertheless, the punishment must not exceed the punishment level for implicated cheating behaviors in item 4.1 above.
